MILK!!! Great with cookies AND your skin!!!

That’s right. MILK! You know, that stuff you drink when you go attack that box of chocolate chip cookies? Cookie monster would be so proud :)

Anyways, milk is actually great for your skin. It’s a natural exfoliant (not the kind that scrubs your dead skin, but more so starts to break down the dead skin that’s sitting on your face). It’s loaaaded with vitamin C and D, proteins and the saturated fat in milk is actually good for your people with normal to dry skin. (If you have oily skin, opt for skim milk…it has a lot less saturated fats that might clog up your pores.) The milk can leave your skin feeling soft and more supple. You can use it either as a toner or even as a mask!***For anyone who’s moms are complaining about dark spots or how they’re too dark…aka asian moms lol…this is a great, cheap way to help with those age spots too***

BUT FIRST!!!!! ANYONE WHO IS ALLERGIC TO MILK DON’T EVEN CONSIDER TRYING THIS!!!!

Using it as a toner will help make your skin brighter and smoother for an easier application for creams and foundation. Just dip a cotton ball or pad into the milk, and then swipe it all over your face (avoiding the eye area…you could use it around your eye on the orbital bone though, aka starting from the brow bone, follow the bone all around your eye…….you know when you see a skull it’s just a hollow area for the eyes??? the bone surrounding that hollow region is the orbital bone). Make sure to rinse afterwards though!!!! Since milk is something that can get spoiled, you want to make sure it is rinsed out fully and thoroughly because if you don’t, bacteria will start to build up.

Using it as a mask is actually really easy. No, you don’t just pour milk on your face and say “I’m done”…you want to keep the milk on your face for at least 15-20 minutes, or just leave it on until you can start to feel it drying out on the edges. All you need is a paper towel. Take a paper towel, dip it in milk and place it on your face, being sure to leave the eyes, nostrils, and mouth sticking out. You can either poke holes into the paper towel, or just cut it up in sections so that you can make it like a puzzle and just place it all over your face until it fits to your liking. Make sure you rinse rinse rinse! Your skin should feel reaaally smooth afterwards, and your skin should appear brighter.

Some people actually have powder masks. If they have powder masks, they could opt for using milk instead of water to mix the powder in. It gives even smoother results :)
